These Days

We are often asked about one particular piece of music when we play at gigs – a song called These Days.

It was written by Jackson Browne in 1967 and has subsequently been covered by many artists such as Nico & Gregg Allman. The song is written from the perspective of an old man who is now more of a spectator on life than in times past when he was younger and more active. The song has a maturity to it which is extraordinary when you know that Browne was only 16 when he wrote it.

No doubt The A52s will produce a professional recording of this song, but just for fun, here is a rough demo track produced by the band (without drums and bass).
