The festival season begins!

The A52s were approached to play an open air gig at the Saint George’s Day celebrations in Parwich village on 26th April. As all gigs do, this gave us a focus point for the new band arrangements. What is more, we now have a drummer! Dr Mike joins us, adding a wonderful new dimension to the songs. He’s also dead handy should we get a cough or something 🙂 .

We busied ourselves getting organised for an open air gig. The band is now the proud owner of a PA system and has some decent amplifiers for the back line. We also constructed a decent sized marquee in case rain struck. It was starting to look a bit professional.

A wonderful bonus was the addition of Rob to our lineup for a couple of the ‘old’ songs. He had returned to Parwich from Bristol and showed us up in his swanky white suit.

We were lucky that some video was taken of the event. Below you will find some examples of the tunes we knocked out on that day.

Here’s more footage (than you can shake a stick at!) from The A52s St. George’s Day bash:

..and finally, here’s some more photos for those of you who just can’t get enough (…there’s a song in there somewhere isn’t there?):
